It’s that time of year again! Many of you have already gotten your little (and big) ones back for another school year; a new year with a fresh start and hopefully very successful year for kids, teachers and parents. We hope you have gotten off to a good start and help your children develop good study habits. Success in school depends on involved parents who develop relationships with teachers and administrators. We also have to remember that not all children learn the same way. Finding what works for each student will help them succeed.

In July, Circle of Parents and Prevent Child Abuse Florida had the pleasure of being an exhibitor at the Healing Neen Tour that took place at the Christian Heritage Church, along with the Office of Adoption and Child Protection. This community event provided personal testimonies on overcoming trauma by embracing internal desire and faith to find hope and healing. Circle of Parents and PCA Florida were on hand to help provide information to attendees about local services and support programs available to them.

In August, Circle of Parents and Prevent Child Abuse Florida will be exhibitors at the 2017 DCF Child Protection Summit. For more than 20 years the annual training conference has continued to emphasize the importance of bringing together child welfare professionals and related partners to share and exchange best practices while enhancing collaborations across professions. If you plan to attend, please come by the booth and say hello!

Circle of Parents would like to welcome a new Parent Support Group through PlayBig Therapy. PlayBig Therapy offers a safe and stimulating space for all children, including those neuro-typical and neuro-challenged to playfully work alongside teammates and supportive coaches.
